THE FINE PRINT - TERMS

Terms of Service

Last updated: February 20, 2026

License

Each purchase grants a license for one user. The plugin is provided for use with Adobe Lightroom Classic.

No Warranty

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Updates

Every one-time plugin includes all updates to the version you bought - including compatibility fixes for new releases of Lightroom Classic - for at least 12 months from purchase, and in practice until the next major version. Your license never expires: when your update period ends, the plugin keeps working on the Lightroom Classic versions it supported at that point.

A new major version (for example 2.0) is a separate purchase, offered at a discount to existing owners and free to anyone who bought within the 90 days before its release. After a major version ships, the previous version keeps receiving compatibility fixes for another 6 months and is then frozen.

The plugins depend on Adobe Lightroom Classic and, for some plugins, on third-party services such as Google's APIs. We do not control changes those companies make. If a plugin stops working because of such a change during your update period, we will fix it, or refund you if we cannot. Outside the update period, the fix ships in the current version.

If you bought before 16 October 2026, your 12 months count from that date. Keptfolio and Thumbs are subscriptions: updates are included for as long as you subscribe.

Refunds

Every one-time plugin comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If you are not happy for any reason, email support@lightroom-tools.com or use our contact form within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. Keptfolio, the subscription, starts with a 14-day free trial instead: cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged; after that you can cancel anytime and your work exports with you. Refunds are processed through LemonSqueezy.

Google Photos API Limitations

Due to Google Photos API restrictions, please be aware:

  • The plugin cannot delete photos from your Google Photos library. Photos removed from a published collection are moved to a "To Delete" album for you to manually delete.
  • The plugin can only access albums and photos it created (Google API restriction effective March 31, 2025).

Face Tagger - Biometric Data Rights

This section applies only to the Face Tagger plugin. See our Privacy Policy for a full description of how biometric data is handled.

  • You retain full ownership of all face images, face encodings, and other biometric data generated or processed by Face Tagger on your machine.
  • Lightroom Tools claims no ownership, license, or right of use over your biometric data. We never receive it, and we do not store, share, sell, lease, trade, or profit from it.
  • Face Tagger runs entirely on your computer. The only outbound network call the plugin makes is to LemonSqueezy for license-key activation and deactivation. No biometric data is included in that call.
  • Deactivating your license or uninstalling the plugin does not delete the face_data.db file where face data is stored. That file remains on your machine until you delete it. You control retention.
  • If you operate in a jurisdiction with specific biometric-data laws (such as Illinois BIPA, Texas CUBI, or similar statutes under GDPR Art. 9), you are responsible for complying with any obligations that apply to your own possession and use of the data. Because the data never leaves your device, Lightroom Tools is not a "processor" or "controller" of it under most such frameworks.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the plugin constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
